Hi, Attempting to install HP SIM 7.2 CMS on a DL120 G7 physical server running Windows Server 2012 Standard, results in the following error during installation: HP Systems Insight Manager Installer detected an unsupported operating system. For installation to proceed further, you must have a supported operating system. Refer to the HP Insight Management Support Matrix to review list of operating system requirements. The server is fully updated with the.NET framework 3.5 and SNMP services installed. The only other services running on this server are AD and DNS. I have successfully installed SIM on a clean Server 2012 VM without issue.
What could be causing the OS to be detected as being unsupported? Thanks, running in compatibility mode has allowed the installation to at least start. However, I'm not sure if it is related or not, but the installer is now hanging when installing the HP SIM service.
